Invisalign® in Denver, CO

The World’s Most Advanced Clear Aligner Is at Our Office

Do you want straighter teeth without the rigor and embarrassment of metal braces? Thankfully, we offer a faster way to give you the smile you’ve always wanted. Invisalign® is the product of 20 years of research and data from millions of smiles. The best part is most people won’t even know you’re wearing them!

How Does Invisalign® Work?

Invisalign® consists of a set of trays that gently push your teeth into their ideal positions. You need to wear them at least 20 hours a day and only remove them during meals. Made from a comfortable and virtually invisible plastic, Invisalign® is a discreet and convenient choice for achieving a straighter smile.

The Invisalign® Process

We start your Invisalign® journey with a consultation because we believe that informed decisions are the best ones. During this appointment, we will hear your concerns and answer any questions you might have.

Next, we'll introduce you to our state-of-the-art iTero Element® scanner, which is a small, handheld device that allows us to create a digital 3D model of your mouth and eliminates the need for messy, uncomfortable traditional impressions. Our team will use the digital mouth scan to customize your trays for your needs.

Once your personalized Invisalign® trays are ready, we'll give you a call to schedule another appointment. We'll guide you through the process of inserting the trays and explain how to care for them.

The core of Invisalign® treatment is wearing your aligner trays every day and changing them out according to a set schedule, usually once every two to three weeks.

How Long Does Invisalign® Treatment Take?

The duration of Invisalign® treatment depends on the complexity of your case. On average, most patients complete their treatment in about 12 to 18 months. However, some cases may take less time, while others could require a bit more.

The key to successful treatment is consistency. To achieve your desired results, you must wear your Invisalign® trays for 20-22 hours a day. You can remove them when eating, drinking (except for water), brushing, and flossing. This level of dedication ensures your teeth are continually moving where they should be.

Which Dental Issues Can Invisalign® Fix?

Invisalign® is a versatile orthodontic treatment that can address many different dental issues. Here are some of the most common concerns Invisalign® can effectively correct:

Overcrowded Teeth

Overcrowding occurs when there isn't enough space in your mouth for all your teeth to align properly. Invisalign® can gradually create space and straighten crowded teeth.

Gaps Between Teeth

Invisalign® can close unsightly gaps between your teeth, giving you a more even and aesthetically pleasing smile.

Overbites

An overbite is when the upper front teeth overlap too far over the lower front teeth. Invisalign® can help align your bite for better function and appearance.

Underbites

When you have an underbite, your lower teeth extend beyond the upper teeth. Invisalign® can address this issue and improve your bite.

Crossbites

Patients with crossbites have some upper teeth fit inside the lower teeth when they bite down. Invisalign® can correct crossbites and change your bite alignment.

Open Bites

An open bite is when some teeth don't make contact when you bite down. Invisalign® can work to close this gap.

Am I a Candidate for Invisalign®?

The good news is many people are excellent candidates for this treatment. Invisalign® is suitable for teenagers and adults with mild to moderate orthodontic issues.

If you have concerns about the alignment of your teeth or bite, we encourage you to schedule a consultation with us. We'll determine if Invisalign® is the right choice for you and answer any questions you may have.

How Do I Clean My Invisalign® Trays?

Proper care of your Invisalign® trays is essential to maintain their clarity and effectiveness. Here's how to keep your aligners clean and in excellent condition:

  • Before inserting your aligners, rinse them with lukewarm water. Avoid hot water, as it can warp the plastic.
  • Use a soft-bristle toothbrush to clean your aligners. Do this process gently to avoid scratching them.
  • Consider using specialized Invisalign® cleaning crystals or a denture cleaner to soak your trays every day. Follow the product's instructions for the best results.
  • When not in use, store your aligners in their case to prevent damage or loss.

At Makowski Dental, we are trained and qualified to provide Invisalign® services. Each tray is specially customized to fit your mouth at a different state in your alignment. We can show you how to use them and even give you a sneak peek of what you will look like with a seamless smile.
